SeeCoast: The Story of a Local Fairhope company with Global Impact
Spotlight on Local Heritage with Global Impact Every now and then, you’ll stumble upon a social media post from someone exploring the far corners of the world—whether it’s the cliffs of the Grand Canyon, the bustling streets of New York City, or a tranquil seaside pier. In these moments, you might notice something special: a small label on a set of binoculars, proudly stating, "Made in Fairhope, Alabama." It’s a subtle reminder that some of the most awe-inspiring, up-close views of the world are brought to people by SeeCoast Manufacturing, a small, family-owned company nestled right here in Fairhope. What started as a humble operation has grown into an internationally recognized business, with SeeCoast viewers enhancing scenic spots in all 50 U.S. states and more than 80 countries around the globe. This tiny label evokes a profound sense of pride for Baldwin County residents. It symbolizes how a product crafted locally, with care and precision, can reach millions worldwide. Each viewer represents a piece of Fairhope that connects travelers to breathtaking sights, reminding us all that big impact often comes from small beginnings. For the people of Baldwin County, it’s a point of pride knowing that a part of their hometown is enhancing global adventures and scenic experiences around the world. The Story of SeeCoast: From a Family Garage to Global Reach Seeing these posts from far-flung places made me want to dive deeper into the story of SeeCoast Manufacturing and the family behind its success. The journey of SeeCoast began over 60 years ago when Kenneth Cain and his two sons, Kenny and Geoffrey, decided to tinker with a few telescopes they had purchased from a friend. Little did they know, their passion project in a small garage in Fairhope, Alabama, would one day evolve into the largest domestic producer of coin-operated viewing devices. It all started with a couple of coin-operated telescopes placed at the Bayfront Auditorium in Pensacola, Florida. The response was positive, and it wasn’t long before visitors to other popular vacation spots began asking for these devices. Seeing the potential, Kenneth and his family took matters into their own hands—literally. They started building their own telescopes and established a route of concession locations along the Alabama and Florida Gulf Coast. The adventure of collecting the earnings each month became a family tradition, with Kenneth and his sons driving along the Gulf Coast, sometimes sleeping in their car to save money. Through hard work, ingenuity, and a deep commitment to quality, the Cain family’s business continued to grow. As the years passed, what started in a modest garage expanded into a company with viewers installed in national landmarks, parks, and observation decks worldwide. This journey from local innovation to global recognition is a testament to the dedication of the Cain family and the strong foundation of community values that helped SeeCoast thrive. For Baldwin County, this story serves as an inspiring example of how a small business, fueled by passion and family bonds, can achieve incredible things. It’s a reminder to local entrepreneurs that with persistence, creativity, and a strong sense of community, great things can grow from humble beginnings right here in Fairhope. Closing: A Legacy Rooted in Family and Community In a world increasingly driven by globalization, automation, and cost-cutting measures, many people find themselves drawn to Baldwin County because of its strong sense of community and family values. Whether they’ve grown up here, stayed to raise their own families, or moved to Baldwin County seeking a deeper connection, it’s this shared commitment to supporting each other and local businesses that makes the area so special. SeeCoast Manufacturing is a shining example of these values. Geoffrey Cain, who took the reins from his father, Kenneth, carried on the family legacy by not only expanding the business but staying true to the principles of quality, integrity, and community focus. Under his leadership, SeeCoast grew to new heights, placing its products in iconic locations around the world. Yet, despite its global reach, the company has never strayed from its roots in Fairhope. When Geoffrey passed away, his wife Geraldine stepped in to continue leading the business, ensuring that SeeCoast remained a family-run, community-oriented company. This story of dedication and continuity reminds us that, in Baldwin County, success is not just measured by growth or profit margins—it’s about maintaining the bonds of family, fostering local connections, and honoring the values that truly matter. In a rapidly changing world, SeeCoast serves as a reminder of the power of staying grounded in family and community, showing that you don’t have to choose between expansion and staying true to your roots. For many in Baldwin County, SeeCoast is more than just a company—it’s a symbol of what makes this community unique and special.

Election 2024: Why Baldwin County Homeowners Should Sell Now!
Thinking About Selling Your Baldwin County Home? Here’s Why the 2024 Presidential Election Means You Should Act Now If you’re a Baldwin County homeowner debating whether to sell your property in the next few months, the clock is ticking—and the 2024 Presidential Election could make or break your opportunity to maximize your home’s value. With Donald Trump and Kamala Harris proposing vastly different strategies for the housing market, the uncertainty of their potential policies is creating a golden window for sellers. Here’s what you need to know and why you should consider listing your property now. Key Reasons to Sell Now Election Year Trends Favor Sellers: Historically, home prices often rise during election years, and Baldwin County is no exception. With interest rates expected to dip temporarily, buyer activity is likely to spike as more buyers jump in while financing is still affordable. Inventory is Tight, Demand is High: Baldwin County’s housing supply is still limited right now, making it a seller’s market in many neighborhoods. Buyers are relocating here from across the country, and they’re prepared to pay asking price, and sometimes more for the best homes. In September 27% of the homes listed under $250,000 closed at over over the asking price in the Baldwin County MLS Uncertain Post-Election Market: No matter who wins, interest rates are likely to rise after the election, potentially cooling buyer demand. Waiting could mean missing the sweet spot to capitalize on strong pricing. Baldwin County Market Snapshot Redfin reports Baldwin County’s median home price is hovering around $375,000—a solid 10% year-over-year increase. The Baldwin Association of Realtors notes that demand has surged thanks to the area’s high quality of life, beautiful beaches, and attractive climate. With fewer homes available, buyers are often willing to pay a premium to secure property in this prime area. This scarcity works in your favor right now, but that could change as election results trigger policy shifts. Why the Election is Your Call to Action The election isn’t just about national housing policy—it’s about your wallet. Here’s how the candidates’ housing plans could directly affect you as a Baldwin County homeowner looking to sell: Kamala Harris’s Housing Plan: Down Payment Assistance: Harris aims to provide $25,000 in down payment assistance to first-time buyers. While this could stimulate demand, it also risks inflating prices for homes like yours in the short term. Building Millions of New Homes: Harris plans to tackle the national housing shortage by building 3 million homes. If this gets traction, Baldwin County could see new inventory flood the market, potentially weakening current price points. Strike while the inventory is tight, and the competition is low. Donald Trump’s Housing Policies: Deregulation and Opening Federal Land: Trump’s focus on deregulation and unlocking federal land for development could accelerate new housing projects. While this might sound like a future opportunity, it could also lead to oversupply, pulling prices down as new builds come to market. As a seller, it’s in your best interest to act now before these changes take effect. Download Now: The Weekly Baldwin County Real Estate Insights Email What Selling Now Means for You If you’re ready to sell, here’s why the next three months could be the best window you’ve had in years: Interest Rates Favor Buyers—For Now: Election years often bring rate cuts to spur consumer confidence. Buyers want to lock in these favorable rates before they potentially rise after November, meaning you’ll have a more motivated buyer pool. Don’t wait until rates climb and buyers start second-guessing their ability to finance. High Demand Drives Up Offers: Baldwin County is experiencing a surge in demand as people relocate here. Buyers are eager, and bidding wars aren’t uncommon. Listing your home now could yield a higher offer with less time on the market, which may not be the case post-election. Economic Uncertainty is On the Horizon: Post-election, all bets are off. Whether it’s inflation, rising interest rates, or new housing policies, these factors could quickly shift the market in ways that don’t favor sellers. Selling now allows you to avoid the guessing game of a post-election market. Ready to Maximize Your Home’s Value? Here’s How to Prepare Price Competitively, but Strategically: With interest rates low, buyers are prepared to make strong offers. Don’t underprice, but work with your real estate agent to hit the sweet spot that attracts interest and incites competition. Stage and Market Aggressively: Baldwin County buyers want move-in-ready homes. Make your property shine by investing in professional staging and photography, and work with your agent to leverage digital marketing that targets out-of-state buyers relocating to Baldwin County. Act Fast—Inventory is Your Advantage: The current inventory shortage is creating demand that works in your favor. Acting now, before potential policy changes increase inventory, will give you the edge in a seller’s market that could soften next year. Conclusion: Your Window of Opportunity is NOW Waiting for the election results to play out could cost you. The Baldwin County housing market is hot, and you have a prime opportunity to capitalize on a perfect storm of low inventory, high demand, and eager buyers. As we approach November, the market is yours to command, but don’t risk getting left behind if interest rates rise or new policies flood the market with competition. If you’re ready to sell, there’s no time like the present. Partner with a knowledgeable Baldwin County real estate agent to make the most of this unique moment. By listing now, you can seize this window of opportunity and maximize your home’s value before the market potentially shifts. Don’t wait for the election to decide your future—make the decision today, and secure your success in Baldwin County’s thriving real estate market!

Cousins, and Progress: Flipping the Script on Alabama’s ‘Inbred Country’ Label
Alabama: Breaking Stereotypes, One Chamber Meeting at a Time After spending 18 years in New York, I’m no stranger to the jokes Alabama faces about inbreeding and small-town stereotypes. But when I joined the Mobile Chamber of Commerce, I quickly saw how being “cousins” in Alabama is actually a strength, not a punchline. Here’s why: In Alabama, we’re all cousins in one way or another—whether by family, friendship, or shared goals. This mindset fosters collaboration, unity, and success across the community. At the Mobile Chamber, it’s clear that being “cousins” is about building connections, supporting each other, and driving progress together. With over 1,700 members, this isn’t some “good-ole boys” club. It’s an inclusive network of diverse professionals who know that working like family makes for stronger business and community ties. After attending my first breakfast event last week with Lt. Gov. William Ainsworth, I could see why. The room was packed with top-tier professionals, all geared up to make things happen. The energy? Off the charts. Before the Lieutenant Governor took the stage, I found myself chatting with super smart folks from The Nature Conservancy. They’re working on preserving the Lower Perdido Islands, a stunning group of undeveloped islands near Orange Beach that see millions of visitors each year. But with popularity comes responsibility, and these islands are facing erosion, seagrass damage, and marine debris. Their conservation efforts are a prime example of the collaborative mindset that drives success here in Mobile—because progress happens when we recognize our shared goals and forge connections built on mutual respect, whether we’re actual cousins or not. Mamun Siddiq: My Charismatic “Cousin” Who Stole the Show The morning took a fun turn when we were welcomed by Mamun Siddiq, a real estate dynamo and proud immigrant from Bangladesh. This man was energy in a suit and a baseball cap—small in stature but huge in presence. His journey is the stuff of legends: from washing dishes at a Pizza Hut to managing the store, to eventually becoming a major player in Mobile’s real estate scene. Today, he specializes in gas stations and homes in West Mobile, but here’s the best part: he calls everyone his cousin. Yep, that’s right! Whether it’s CEOs, politicians, or business owners, Mamun’s “cousin” habit has become his signature—and it’s more than just a joke. It’s a symbol of the collaborative spirit that drives the city forward. As one of the Chamber’s top sponsors, Mamun embodies how treating others like family—cousins, if you will—fuels business growth and strong community ties. His infectious spirit set the perfect tone for the rest of the event. Breaking the Alabama Stereotype: ‘Inbreeding’ Innovation and Collaboration Now, let’s talk about that old stereotype of Alabama being a backwater land of “inbreeding.” The truth? In Alabama, we can choose to all be cousins in one way or another—whether by family, friendship, or shared goals. And instead of fighting it, we embrace it. That sense of connectedness, that "cousins" mentality, is what fuels collaboration here. It's not isolation, but the strength of our connections that drives Alabama’s success. Nowhere is that more evident than in Mobile and Baldwin Counties. Lieutenant Governor Will Ainsworth took the stage and laid out just how far the state has come, with big projects on the horizon. These developments are powered by the unity and shared vision of our communities, where treating each other like "cousins" means working together to lift everyone up. The truth is, Alabama’s innovation comes from collaboration—not from outdated labels. And that’s something we proudly embrace. It’s collaboration, not isolation, that’s driving Alabama’s success. And nowhere is that clearer than in Mobile and Baldwin Counties. Lieutenant Governor Will Ainsworth took the stage and laid out just how far the state has come, with some big projects on the horizon. He spoke about infrastructure developments, like the widening of the I-65 corridor and connecting I-10 to Beach Express. These moves are about staying ahead of the rapid growth in the area, ensuring that we don’t stall our progress. The state’s aerospace industry is the fourth-largest in the U.S., employing over 14,000 people, much of it right here in the region—not just in North Alabama [1]. Ainsworth also spoke about the I-10 bridge project, which is currently Alabama's top transportation priority. This new bridge and Bayway expansion aim to alleviate traffic congestion and support the continued growth of both Mobile and Baldwin Counties [2]. This is what happens when you work together like family, leveraging every connection, relationship, and opportunity to grow. So, if anyone tries to throw the “inbred” joke at Alabama again, they clearly haven’t seen what’s happening in Mobile. A Family Affair: Cousins, Deals, and an Exciting Future As Lt. Gov. Ainsworth wrapped up his speech, talking about school choice, workforce housing credits, and legislative moves to support continued growth, I couldn’t help but smile. The packed room of business leaders, all working together like one big family, felt like the embodiment of everything Mamun was talking about. Here in the South, being “cousins” is more than just a family tree—it’s how we do business. Collaboration, mutual support, and that “we’re all in this together” mentality are the driving forces behind Mobile’s future. I left that breakfast feeling excited, empowered, and most of all, ready to be part of the family. Because in Alabama, we’re not just breaking stereotypes—we’re building something bigger, better, and stronger than ever. Download Now: The Weekly Baldwin County Real Estate Insights Email

We dove deep into the details about the Port of Mobile’s massive expansion and the millions of square feet of warehouse space being sought to accommodate the growth. It’s clear that the region is on the brink of something huge. The final phase of the Port of Mobile’s five-year upgrade is set to make this region the new powerhouse of the Gulf Coast. With the Port becoming the deepest in the Gulf of Mexico by early 2025, the entire area is about to witness a surge in economic development—and real estate will be the primary beneficiary. Here’s the thing: When you deepen a port, you don’t just make way for larger ships. You open the floodgates for growth that will ripple through every sector, but particularly real estate. Here’s why the Port’s expansion is not just a win for logistics nerds—it’s the key to explosive growth in Baldwin County and Mobile, and if you’re not paying attention, you’re going to miss out. Mobile Is About to Be the Gulf’s Premier Trade Hub—and That’s No Exaggeration For years, Mobile has been a solid but understated player on the Gulf Coast. Sure, we’ve had industry and commerce, but nothing to truly rival Houston, New Orleans, or Tampa. But this port expansion changes all of that. According to Port officials, the upgraded Port of Mobile will be the first stop for massive ships traversing the Panama Canal, offloading their valuable cargo here in Alabama before they even touch Florida or Texas. This is huge. Why does this matter? Because every container unloaded here means more jobs, more infrastructure investment, and more businesses eager to plant roots nearby. A port that can handle bigger ships means bigger contracts, bigger opportunities—and you guessed it—higher real estate demand. Download Now: The Weekly Baldwin County Real Estate Insights Email Baldwin County: The Next Hotspot for Developers Let’s be real: Baldwin County has been Alabama’s worst-kept secret for a while now, with its stunning beaches, strong schools, and lifestyle appeal. But here’s what most people are missing—the port upgrade is going to take the county to the next level. With easy access to both Mobile and the Gulf, Baldwin County stands to attract a flood of new residents and businesses as the port expansion pushes industrial and commercial growth inland. Once these larger vessels start making Mobile their first port of call, the entire region will experience an uptick in commerce and infrastructure improvements. More businesses will need housing for employees. More retail and service industries will follow suit. And with that, developers will scramble to build more homes, apartments, and commercial real estate in the areas surrounding both the Port and Baldwin County. Translation? Expect property values to soar. Real Estate Is About to Get Competitive—Buy Now or Pay More Later If you’re waiting to buy a home in Baldwin County or Mobile, this is your wake-up call. You might be thinking, “Well, it’s still affordable here, right?” Sure, for now. But once the port upgrades are completed and Mobile officially becomes the Gulf’s new powerhouse, expect to see home prices escalate. It’s simple economics: increased demand with limited inventory equals higher prices. And let’s face it, Baldwin County has always had the lifestyle appeal—this port expansion is just the fuel that’s going to ignite a massive real estate boom. If you want to secure a property while prices are still reasonable, now is the time. Otherwise, get ready to face fierce competition from buyers who realize what’s about to happen. More Infrastructure, More Growth, More Profit Let’s not forget about the infrastructure enhancements that come along with a modernized port. With new rail connections, expanded highways, and increased traffic to and from the port, there’s no doubt that more people will move here for jobs, for business, or simply for the lifestyle. Commercial real estate opportunities will explode as companies look to capitalize on the growing traffic of goods coming through the region. You can already see signs of it: downtown Mobile’s revitalization projects, housing developments in Baldwin County, and new business hubs sprouting up along the coast. The port’s deeper waters will bring deeper pockets to this region, and that means long-term prosperity for residents and investors alike. Dauphin Island and Environmental Projects Benefit Too One thing people don’t often consider is how these large industrial projects can also lead to environmental and community benefits. For instance, the dredge material from the port expansion is being used for vital environmental projects, including shoreline restoration along the Dauphin Island Causeway. Not only does this help protect critical infrastructure, but it also helps preserve one of the Gulf Coast’s most treasured natural resources—Dauphin Island itself. This is a win-win scenario: economic growth alongside environmental stewardship. It’s another reason why real estate values in the surrounding areas are bound to rise. People want to live where there’s a balance between development and nature, and that’s exactly what’s happening here. The Bottom Line: Get In Before It’s Too Late Here’s the deal: the Port of Mobile’s upgrades aren’t just a headline for the business section. They’re a game-changer for the entire Gulf Coast. If you’ve been on the fence about investing in real estate in Baldwin County or Mobile, you need to act now. This port expansion is going to draw people, businesses, and money into the region like never before, and that will drive up property values and demand. Waiting means paying more. Period. Whether you’re a first-time buyer, an investor, or just someone looking for a coastal lifestyle with economic opportunities, Baldwin County and Mobile are about to become the hottest spots on the Gulf Coast. Conclusion: Baldwin County and Mobile Are the Future—Act Before It’s Too Late The Port of Mobile is poised to change the game, not just for industry, but for the entire community. As the Gulf Coast’s new premier shipping hub, the economic growth is inevitable. What makes this region truly unique, though, is the way it’s handling this growth—balancing industrial advancement with environmental conservation. If you want to be part of a place that values both development and nature, this is your moment to act. Baldwin County and Mobile are about to take off, and those who recognize the region’s potential now will reap the rewards later. Don’t let the opportunity slip by—whether you’re looking to invest, relocate, or just enjoy the Gulf Coast’s unique lifestyle, there’s never been a better time to get in.

Skip the Mistakes, Seize the profits: 5 things you need to know about Real Estate Investor Meet-ups
5 Things You Need to Know About Going to Real Estate Investor Meetups Baldwin County and the surrounding areas have become a goldmine for real estate investors, and honestly the real estate investment opportunities of Alabama are one of the reasons I chose to make the move here. I had always wanted to dive into real estate investing, but during the many years I lived in New York, it felt impossible. The market there was super competitive, closing costs were through the roof, and don’t even get me started on the taxes and landlord laws. All of that risk kept me on the sidelines for way too long. That’s one of the reasons I packed my bags and headed for Alabama. I saw the opportunity here, and in just three years, I’ve flipped eight houses—something I never thought I could pull off back in New York. The best part? I’ve been attending real estate investor meetups, and they’ve been a game changer. If you're interested in real estate, here's why you should consider hitting up these meetups. Last night’s real estate meetup in Daphne got me thinking—it’s time to bring these insights back to you. Baldwin County and the surrounding areas are hot for real estate investors, and the best way to stay ahead is by attending these meetups regularly. I make it a point to go to several each month, soaking up the latest trends, success stories, and hard-learned lessons. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just getting started, here are 5 things you need to know about investor meetups and why they’re crucial for your real estate journey. . Download Now: The Weekly Baldwin County Real Estate Insights Email 1. Networking is Your Golden Ticket The real value of meetups lies in the people you meet and the game-changing insights they share. At one recent meetup, experienced investors shared their success with rent-to-own contracts, seeing a 5x higher ROI than traditional long-term rentals. They detailed strategies they've honed over the years, sharing valuable tips that only come from experience. These lessons, learned in real time, are priceless when it comes to avoiding pitfalls and maximizing returns. Many of the investors I’ve met discuss their real-life deals, sharing lessons on how they’ve partnered with others they met at meetups, or how they’re seeing a 5x ROI from rent-to-own strategies. They also emphasize the importance of multiple exit strategies—always having a Plan B and C in place to avoid costly mistakes. Through my network, you’ll get these insights and more, ensuring you stay ahead in real estate. I always encourage investors to attend meetups, but it's not always easy, especially with attendees coming from all over. That’s where I come in. By working with me, you’re tapping into my extensive network of seasoned investors who are sharing the strategies that work today. Whether it's how they structure rent-to-own contracts, vet potential buyers, or their plans for expansion, I gain invaluable insights. These connections aren’t just useful—they’re crucial for success. When you can’t attend, I’m your next best resource, leveraging my firsthand experience and these trusted networks to help you succeed. 2. Learn from Successes—and Mistakes Everyone loves sharing their wins, but the real lessons come from the misses. Investors are quick to point out mistakes that can cost big—like over-improving a flip or holding onto a property too long. One agent shared a story about a house that sat on the market because the seller rejected three offers and refused a $1,500 credit after inspection. Now, it’s stuck unsold and needs a price reduction. Experienced investors also stressed the importance of analyzing multiple exit strategies before buying—always have a Plan B, and it’s even better to have a Plan C. Avoiding these mistakes and preparing for all outcomes can save you thousands. That’s the power of networking—you get access to the real stories, the wins and the losses, helping you navigate your own investment path with confidence 3. You Don’t Have to Go to Every Meeting—But I Do Staying ahead in real estate requires constant learning and connections, which is why I attend several meetups each month. From 1031 exchanges and tax strategies to the latest on clean bookkeeping and maximizing ROI, I’m gathering insights from industry experts so you don’t have to spend hours at every event. I bring these takeaways directly to you—everything from market trends to strategies for avoiding costly mistakes—ensuring you stay informed and ready to act. My role is to streamline this knowledge, so you’re always one step ahead in your investments. By attending these meetups religiously, I’m able to gather the strategies that successful investors are using right now. Whether it's structuring rent-to-own contracts for higher returns or navigating multiple exit strategies, I provide you with the knowledge that keeps your investments on track, even when you can’t attend the meetings yourself. 4. Diverse Investment Opportunities Abound in Lower Alabama One of the most exciting parts of attending meetups is hearing the creative ways investors make deals work in Lower Alabama. This region is ripe with opportunity, from high-demand beach rentals in Gulf Shores to affordable properties in Mobile and multi-family developments across Baldwin County. Investors are finding innovative ways to structure deals—whether it's through creative financing, rent-to-own contracts, or partnerships—tailored to the local market’s needs. These strategies are always evolving, and meetups are where I learn about them firsthand. By tapping into these discussions, I’m able to offer you the most up-to-date opportunities and ideas, whether you're looking to invest in short-term vacation rentals or long-term growth properties. Conclusion Lower Alabama is a treasure trove for real estate investors, and meetups are where the smart money is. If you’re serious about building wealth through real estate, you need the right insights, connections, and strategies. By attending multiple meetups every month, I ensure I stay ahead of the curve—and so can you. Let’s make sure you’re ready to capitalize on everything Baldwin County has to offer.

SEC Blowouts on the Field feeling unfair? How to level the playing field in real estate
SEC Blowouts on the Field feeling unfair? How to level the playing field in real estate If you caught any SEC football games this weekend, you probably noticed the scores were as lopsided as it gets. Not exactly thrilling stuff, right? Total blow outs, and watching those games left a lot to be desired. Now, imagine being a fan of the underdog (I’m sure there had to be at least a few of them, right?!)—pretty frustrating, huh? Well, that’s exactly what it feels like trying to buy a home in markets like California and the Northeast these days. Download Now: The Weekly Baldwin County Real Estate Insights Email Just like those uneven matchups on the football field, the housing markets in these high-cost regions are totally out of balance. Home prices have skyrocketed so much that they’re leaving potential buyers completely in the dust. It’s like playing a game where the other team has all the star players, and yours might as well just be sitting on the sidelines. For first-time buyers and even seasoned homeowners, it’s a struggle just to get a foothold, let alone win. But here’s the thing—just like how you might switch the channel to find a better, more competitive game, more and more buyers are turning away from these overpriced markets and looking for new opportunities. I did this same thing myself almost 4 years ago, when I fled from Long Island New York and moved my girls here for a fresh start and more opportunities. That’s where Baldwin County, Alabama, comes into play. Unlike the blowouts in California and the Northeast, Baldwin County offers a fairer playing field, where the odds are more in your favor, and the game is actually worth watching. The Housing Affordability Crisis in High-Cost Markets Let’s be real: Home prices in places like California and the Northeast have hit ridiculous levels. We’re talking six times the median income kind of ridiculous. In California, for instance, the median home price has surged to over $800,000, while the median household income lags far behind at about $86,000. That means that buying a home now costs nearly ten times what the average family earns in a year [3]. It’s no wonder so many folks feel like they’re getting crushed, just like those SEC teams this weekend. The affordability gap is wider than ever, making it almost impossible for many would-be homeowners to even consider stepping onto the field. The situation is just as dire in parts of the Northeast, where median home prices in states like New York and Massachusetts hover around $600,000, again far outpacing local incomes. Impact on Buyers: These prices aren’t just frustrating—they’re downright disheartening.First-time buyers, who often don’t have the equity from a previous home to help with a down payment, are feeling the squeeze the most. Many are forced to either delay buying or settle for less desirable options, like smaller homes, longer commutes, or more run-down properties. Middle-income families, who traditionally have been the backbone of the housing market, are also struggling. In many cases, they’re being priced out of the very neighborhoods they’ve lived in for years. The situation has led to a sharp increase in housing instability, with more people spending upwards of 30%—and often much more—of their income on housing costs alone [3]. This imbalance is forcing many buyers to look for alternatives. And increasingly, they’re finding those opportunities in more affordable regions in the southeast, like Baldwin County, Alabama, where the housing market is not only more balanced but also offers a realistic chance of success. Baldwin County: The Real Estate MVP A Balanced Market: Baldwin County is quickly emerging as a real estate MVP, thanks to its balanced market dynamics. Unlike the overheated markets in California and the Northeast, Baldwin County offers a refreshing mix of affordable prices and ample new construction opportunities. This balance is key to why so many buyers are setting their sights on this area. With prices that make sense and a steady stream of new developments, Baldwin County presents a market where buyers can find value without feeling as pressured by sky-high costs. Whether you're looking for a starter home or something more luxurious, there's something for everyone here, making it a prime destination for those looking to escape the financial strain of high-cost regions. Influx of Buyers:The word is out however, and buyers from places like California, New York, and other high-cost areas are flocking to Baldwin County. They’re drawn by the promise of better value and a higher quality of life. These transplants are finding that their money goes much further here, allowing them to afford homes and lifestyles that were out of reach in their previous locations. The influx is fueling demand, but thanks to the county’s balanced market, there’s room for growth without the bubble-like pressure. Why Baldwin County Stands Out: So, what makes Baldwin County stand out? For starters, the lower cost of living is a major draw. Here, you can enjoy a comfortable lifestyle without the hefty price tags found in many other parts of the country. Whether it's housing, groceries, or entertainment, your dollar stretches further in Baldwin County. Download Now: The Weekly Baldwin County Real Estate Insights Email Diverse Property Options:The real estate landscape here is as diverse as it is appealing. From charming historic homes in Fairhope to sleek new builds in Daphne, there’s a wide range of property types to suit different tastes and budgets. And with growing communities that cater to various lifestyles—from coastal living in Gulf Shores to suburban tranquility in Spanish Fort—Baldwin County truly has something for everyone. Industry and Growth Highlights:Several key industries and growth initiatives are currently driving Baldwin County’s upward trajectory. The county has seen significant investments in its infrastructure, including the ongoing expansion of the I-10 Bayway and the addition of new highway projects, which are improving connectivity and supporting regional growth. The area is also becoming a hub for advanced manufacturing and aerospace, with companies like Airbus expanding operations nearby in Mobile, creating job opportunities and attracting skilled workers to the area. Additionally, the healthcare sector is booming, with new facilities and expansions, such as the South Baldwin Regional Medical Center, meeting the needs of a growing population. Tourism continues to be a major economic driver, with Gulf Shores and Orange Beach drawing millions of visitors annually. This influx of tourists not only boosts the local economy but also sustains a robust short-term rental market, making Baldwin County a prime spot for real estate investors. Long-Term Growth and Stability:But it’s not just about the present—Baldwin County is well-positioned for long-term growth and stability. The area's steady influx of new residents, combined with its strategic development, means that property values are likely to appreciate over time. For both homebuyers and investors, this offers a unique opportunity to not just secure a place to live, but to make a smart financial decision for the future. Whether you’re a homebuyer or an investor, we’re here to help you navigate the market and score big. Let’s get you in the game! SEC Shutouts and Real Estate Strategies: How to Avoid Getting Zeroed Out in Baldwin County **1. Game Plan for Buyers: Get Pre-Approved Early In Baldwin County’s fast-paced market, getting pre-approved for a mortgage is like securing your ticket to the big game. Without it, you might not even make it to the kickoff. Pre-approval shows sellers that you’re serious and ready to make a move, giving you a leg up when competing against other buyers. Pro Tip: Work with a local lender who knows the Baldwin County market. They can often provide quicker turnarounds and more personalized service, which can be a game-changer when time is of the essence. **2. For Sellers: Price Your Home to Win Just like a football team needs the right strategy to win, sellers need to price their homes strategically to attract the right buyers. Price too high, and you risk sitting on the market too long; price too low, and you might leave money on the table. The key is to price it just right—competitive enough to draw in multiple offers but still reflective of the home’s true value. Pro Tip: Work with a real estate agent who understands the local market dynamics and can help you set a winning price. A good agent can also advise on staging, marketing, and timing to maximize your home’s appeal. **3. Both Buyers and Sellers: Stay Agile and Ready to Move In football, the best teams are the ones that can adapt quickly to the changing dynamics of the game. The same goes for real estate. Buyers need to be ready to act fast when a great property hits the market, and sellers need to be flexible with showings and negotiations. Pro Tip for Buyers: Have your offer strategy in place. Know your top budget, be prepared to make a strong offer, and consider adding an escalation clause if the market is particularly hot. Pro Tip for Sellers: Be ready to respond to offers quickly. A slow response can cause buyers to lose interest or look elsewhere. Also, consider pre-inspections to avoid any surprises during the closing process. **4. Don’t Play the Game Alone: Partner with a Local Real Estate Expert Just as a coach is crucial to a team’s success, partnering with a knowledgeable real estate agent can be your biggest advantage in Baldwin County. An experienced agent will know the ins and outs of the market, help you navigate challenges, and ensure that you’re always in the best possible position—whether you’re buying or selling. Pro Tip: Look for an agent with a strong track record in Baldwin County, someone who knows the neighborhoods, the market trends, and has a winning strategy to help you succeed. The secret deals in Baldwin County Real Estate For Homebuyers: So, what’s the play if you’re looking to buy in Baldwin County? The key is to focus on those new developments or neighborhoods maybe in the more rural areas that are just starting to pop. Baldwin County is the largest county in the state and we have plenty of room to expand into. Think of these areas as the rising stars in the real estate game—full of potential and poised for growth. Whether you’re a first-time buyer or looking to upgrade, these spots offer a chance to get in early before prices really take off. Pro Tip: Keep an eye on up-and-coming neighborhoods like Robertsdale and Loxley, where new construction is booming. These areas are attracting a lot of attention due to their affordability, great schools, and proximity to the Gulf Coast. By getting in now, you could see significant appreciation in value as these neighborhoods continue to develop. Hot Opportunities: New Developments: Look for homes in planned communities where builders are offering incentives like closing cost assistance, lower interest rates, and upgrades. These deals can give you more bang for your buck. Emerging Neighborhoods: Explore areas that are gaining popularity but haven’t yet reached their peak. These neighborhoods often offer a mix of older homes and many that are in the process of being redone by new owners. For Investors: And if you’re thinking about investing in Baldwin County, You’re definitely in the right place. Whether you’re interested in flipping properties or building your rental portfolio, Baldwin County offers solid opportunities with great potential for a strong return on investment (ROI). Pro Tip: With the influx of people relocating to Baldwin County from higher-cost areas, the demand for rental properties is on the rise. This makes it a prime time to invest in rental homes or vacation properties, especially near hotspots like Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. These areas not only draw tourists but also long-term renters looking to enjoy the coastal lifestyle. Smart Investments: Fix-and-Flip: Target homes in established neighborhoods that need a bit of TLC. With the right renovations, you can significantly increase the property’s value and flip it for a profit. Rental Properties: Consider purchasing multi-family units or single-family homes to rent out. With Baldwin County’s growing population and strong tourism industry, rental demand remains high, ensuring a steady income stream. The Blind Tiger Finally Opens: Is the Fairhope Pier Location Cursed or Blessed?
The Blind Tiger Finally Opens: Is the Fairhope Pier Location Cursed or Blessed? About six months ago, I met someone on a dating app who invited me for a spontaneous afternoon walk on the Fairhope Pier. It was one of those perfect afternoons where we chatted effortlessly, getting to know one another while soaking in the lovely surroundings. As we strolled down the pier and past the remains of the old restaurant, we couldn’t help but notice the active construction of the proclaimed soon-to-be coming Blind Tiger Restaurant. The signs plastered on the windows hinted at what was to come, and we daydreamed about returning for a date there once it opened. The restaurant had been in the works for about a year and a half, and we were hopeful that it would open soon, giving us the perfect excuse to return to the site. Well, as fate would have it, the opening of The Blind Tiger outlasted our relationship. After months of delays and much speculation, the restaurant finally served its first food and drinks to the public yesterday. The gentleman I met back then joked that our relationship had been doomed by the delays of the restaurant, and I couldn’t help but chuckle at the irony. But it got me thinking—was this spot on the Fairhope Pier really cursed, or is there more to the story? Download Now: The Weekly Baldwin County Real Estate Insights Email I decided to dig a little deeper and discovered that the location on Fairhope Pier is far from doomed. In fact, it has a rich history of success. For 41 years, the spot was home to The Yardarm, a beloved restaurant that thrived from the 1970s until the owner’s retirement. The Yardarm was a staple in Fairhope, offering great food, stunning views, and a warm atmosphere that locals cherished. According to web sources, after The Yardarm, the location was purchased by Rick Gambino, the owner of Gambino’s, who saw the potential in this prime waterfront spot. Gambino opened Shux on the Pier, a seafood-focused restaurant with plans to introduce sunset pontoon cruises and a shuttle service for locals. However, the shuttle service sparked controversy among local walkers, who felt it was disrupting the peaceful atmosphere of the pier and went against town ordinances. Gambino, in response, threatened to close the restaurant if he couldn’t keep the shuttle, which added an unexpected layer of drama to the pier’s history. Despite the controversy, Gambino rebranded the restaurant as The Pier Bar and Grill, hoping to capture the magic of the location with a new identity. The restaurant continued to serve the community with an all-new menu, including breakfast options, and remained under the Gambino family’s ownership thanks to their long-term lease with the city. However, like many businesses, The Pier Bar and Grill struggled during the COVID-19 pandemic and eventually shut down, never reopening its doors. Now, with The Blind Tiger opening as the fourth restaurant to occupy this iconic spot, there’s a renewed sense of excitement. The location itself is a gem, with breathtaking views of Mobile Bay, the tranquil fountain, and the area's coastal charm. It’s a place that naturally draws people in and holds the potential to become a beloved community staple once again. So, is the spot on the Fairhope Pier cursed or blessed? I’d argue that it’s the latter. The Blind Tiger’s long-awaited opening may have been plagued by delays, but its location is steeped in a history of success and fond memories. With its 20 boat slips and golf cart-friendly setup, The Blind Tiger has the potential to become the next beloved restaurant at this iconic Fairhope spot. Only time will tell, but if history is any indication, The Blind Tiger is in good company and poised for success. As for me, I can’t wait to head down to the pier and finally try out The Blind Tiger—this time, with the promise of good food, great views, and perhaps a new beginning for this storied location.

Is Baldwin County Growing Too Fast? Exploring the Benefits and Risks
Baldwin County has long been recognized for its scenic beauty, small-town charm, and rural character. However, as industrialization and urban sprawl continue, there is a real concern that this unique character could be lost. Longtime residents worry that increased commercialization will erode the sense of community and alter the natural landscapes that define the area. Maintaining Baldwin County’s identity while accommodating growth is a topic I hear come up in conversation weekly and should be addressed with sensitivity and foresight. Download Now: The Weekly Baldwin County Real Estate Insights Email If you walk into any grocery store, coffee shop, or talk to someone who has tried heading to the beach on a weekend, you will likely hear grumbles about traffic, fields being replaced by DR Horton neighborhoods, and neighbors moving in from California, Texas, and more. As Baldwin County continues to see rapid growth, spurred on by developments like the Port Alabama Industrial Center, it's important to consider the potential downsides that accompany such progress. While economic expansion brings many benefits, it also raises several legitimate concerns that should be addressed. Growth and Opportunity: Why Baldwin County’s Expansion is a Good Thing Having experienced many of these effects of rapid grown in the Northeast for two decades before returning to my home state of Alabama, I make sure to stay in touch with the economic developments, traffic studies, and growth measures taking place here in Baldwin County. Did you know that the land size of Baldwin County is approximately equal to the state of Delaware? We actually have lots of room for growth! I strongly believe that the recent developments in Baldwin County, particularly the groundbreaking of the Port Alabama Industrial Center, are not just good for the area—the economic benefits are exceptionally good for everyone, and far outway the challenges. As Austin Ames, CEO of Gulf Corp., aptly put it, “We believe our planned development activities will be the tip of the iceberg in the logistics and industrial capabilities of the entire Gulf Coast.” This statement captures the incredible potential that lies ahead for our region as Baldwin County continues to grow at a remarkable pace. In fact, Baldwin County is one of the fastest-growing areas in the entire country, with its population increasing by nearly 30% between 2010 and 2020, and the trend shows no signs of slowing down. The Economic Benefits of Rapid Growth As Baldwin County continues to experience rapid development, the economic benefits are becoming increasingly evident. From real estate opportunities to job creation and infrastructure improvements, this growth is setting the stage for a more prosperous and dynamic community. Real Estate and Investment Opportunities Of course, I chose to move to Baldwin County specifically because I wanted to be in a growing area. Leaving a place people were fleeing, the positive energy ror real estate investors, the excitement surrounding new developments in Baldwin County is palpable. The construction of projects like the Port Alabama Industrial Center is a game-changer, poised to significantly increase property values in the area. As Baldwin County’s strategic location near the Port of Mobile makes it an attractive destination for global businesses, the demand for both residential and commercial properties is expected to soar. This surge in demand not only drives up property values but also presents lucrative opportunities for local businesses to thrive, further stimulating the local economy. Investors are particularly drawn to Baldwin County because of its potential for long-term appreciation. The combination of its strategic location and the influx of major developments positions the county as a prime area for real estate investment. The ripple effects of these investments will be felt across various sectors, creating a more vibrant and economically robust community. Job Creation and Economic Growth One of the most significant benefits of Baldwin County’s rapid growth is the promise of job creation. Jobs, particularly higher paying jobs, help the residents as well as businesses throughout the community. During the construction phase of developments like the Port Alabama Industrial Center, hundreds of jobs will be generated, providing immediate economic relief to the local workforce. But the benefits don’t stop there—once operational, these developments will continue to create thousands of permanent jobs across various industries, from logistics and manufacturing to retail and services. This surge in employment opportunities will have a profound impact on the local economy, leading to increased consumer spending, higher tax revenues, and a stronger tax base. The strengthened tax base, in turn, allows for improved public services and infrastructure, creating a positive feedback loop that further enhances the quality of life for Baldwin County residents. Over time, these economic gains will contribute to a more resilient and diversified local economy, less vulnerable to external shocks. Enhanced Infrastructure and Amenities The rapid growth in Baldwin County is also driving significant improvements in infrastructure and amenities. As new developments rise, so too do investments in better roadways, utilities, and public services. These infrastructure upgrades are essential to supporting the county’s growing population and ensuring that residents can enjoy a high quality of life. There are constantly being significant investments made into traffic studies and improvements to keep up with the changes. Moreover, the construction of new amenities, such as grocery stores, schools, and healthcare facilities, will make life more convenient and enjoyable for Baldwin County residents. These enhancements not only meet the immediate needs of the community but also attract new residents and businesses, further fueling economic growth. Ongoing infrastructure projects are a testament to the county’s commitment to managing growth effectively. By proactively addressing the needs of a rapidly expanding population, Baldwin County is laying the groundwork for sustainable development that benefits everyone in the community. The combination of robust infrastructure, increased amenities, and a thriving economy makes Baldwin County an increasingly desirable place to live, work, and invest. Balancing Growth with Community Preservation I firmly believe the economic benefits of Baldwin County’s rapid growth are undeniable. From real estate opportunities to job creation and enhanced infrastructure, these developments are driving a positive transformation that promises long-term prosperity for the region. While challenges remain, the potential for Baldwin County to emerge as a major economic powerhouse in the Southeast is both exciting and inspiring. I am proud to be a Baldwin County resident and watch the developments unfold.

- rlksgoldsteenAmanda is smart, knowledgeable, and dedicated. She is solutions-oriented. She is responsive. She negotiated an excellent deal for us. She exceeded our expectations.
- jannynyeWe bought and sold our house in Port Jefferson with Amanda and we’re more than pleased with both experiences. We have used many agents through the years and Amanda is the best by far! She was extremely knowledgeable about the area and gave us excellent advice on reasonable prices to buy, sell, and list. She went the extra mile to make our buying go smoothly when we had hiccups along the way. At our recent closing she troubleshooted a last minute repair on the spot. In the selling process she remembered things from when we bought the house 9 years ago. She has a great team to help her and it’s been rewarding to see her business become more and more successful. It is well-deserved. Although our relationship is mostly business we feel like Amanda is part of our family, having helped welcome us to the community in buying our first home. There’s no agent better than her!
- NancyHaliasz WeidlerThe idea of selling our home was initially a daunting one. We are very grateful to have had a friend recommend Amanda Eckhart to help us with the process. Upon our first meeting, Amanda made us feel comfortable and eased many of our concerns. She guided us through the how to prepare our home for showings, how to best handle the days when potential buyers would be visiting and how we would go about reviewing offers if any were made. Amanda is clearly an expert of the local real estate market; she answered our questions quickly, honestly and intelligently. The process for us was quick and smooth. We are grateful to have worked with Amanda Eckart and her team. We will certainly be recommending her to friends and family if they are ever in need of a real estate agent.
- amm5956Amanda is an incredible agent who quickly became a friend. I would never hesitate to use her again if the need arose, and would confidently recommend her to my family and friends
- dandsbrushAmanda did a wonderful job in setting up the sale of our house. She got the ball rolling immediately including the listing legalities and house showings! This house sale at listing price with comparable prices was completed in a matter of days, not months!! We heartily recommend Amanda!!
- mhanwellMike was a joy to work with, made the home buying experience as smooth as he could despite constrained timelines and a difficult market. I highly recommend him, his recommendations, and the entire team. Thanks Mike!
- kristigeisslerWe met and worked with Donna in purchasing our Port Jefferson home in 2019. We had a great experience with her representing both the seller and us. We contacted her recently when needing to sell my mother’s home as an estate in Selden. Donna helped us to handle the sale with compassion and empathy. She also was very knowledgeable about the process of an estate sale. She was able to provide great referrals to help with removing the contents of the home and cleaning, and the legal process. Donna was able to bring in multiple offers and had the house to contract very quickly. It was such a great relief to be able to work with someone we trusted to handle an emotionally sensitive situation. Donna managed much of the communication with the referred individuals and the showing of the house with us having to do very little. Donna has a very personal approach beyond just the specifics of the real estate transactions. We have been able to rely on Donna often for community referrals, and she and the real estate agency have gone above and beyond to welcome us to the Port Jefferson community. I would recommend her without reservation for a variety of real estate needs. We are very thankful for knowing her and for her kindness.
- nherzog nycAmanda is wonderful! Found us a house in two days flat and we trusted her implicitly from day one, never to be disappointed. Not only is she smart, kind, funny and good to be around, she's also willing to come pick you up off the side of the highway when you get a flat on your way to the closing from Brooklyn. Just saying ...
- aramesalonI had the opportunity to sell 2 properties with Amanda over the last year. Both transactions were handled professionally and in a timely fashion. Amanda is very knowledgeable of market place which help us get these favorable results. Thanks Amanda!
- ctsciaccaAmanda made selling our house as smooth as possible. It was a breeze and we were really happy with the results. Communication was easy even during covid.
- user6954424Michael is very professional and very good at what he does. My mother is a recent widow, who didn't have much experience with home selling or buying. This life shift of selling a home and downsizing, especially during the Covid epidemic, was very stressful for her and she asked me to help find an agent for her. I chose Michael and he didn't let me down. Michael was there for her every step of the way. Not only did he do his homework and stay on top of all the technical aspects of the home selling, but he is very personable and alleviated any concerns that she had. He did a top notch job studying the comps and recommending an appropriate sales prices, did an excellent job with the staging and photography, and troubleshooted and remained calm during various hiccups on open house day. Within two weeks of meeting Michael, my Mom had over a dozen offers on her home and she closed well above market. Every time I talk to her, she continues to rave about what a positive experience she had with Michael. I highly recommend Michael without reservation. If you or a loved one want to buy a sell a home, you will be in good hands with Michael and his team. Michael Altmann
- lauriejcrawfordAmanda was very accessible and responsive to any questions or concerns. With Amanda's help and that of her team we were able to meet a tight sale time requirement. I used Amanda based on a local recommendation and couldn't have asked for more in a real estate agent. Will definitely recommend her!
- Thomas M137Amanda Eckart will not rest until she has found the perfect home for you/your family. Finding or selling a home can be a lot of things, and you will experience a lot of emotions. Amanda in a wonderful intermediary between you and your dream home/asking price. She will make it happen, and you will have no unanswered questions along the way. I cannot overstate how wonderful it was working with Amanda, and how perfect the home she found for my family was. Most people will buy/sell a home very few times in their life make the smart choice and call Amanda Eckart.
- jrobinson611Amanda and Andrew at Keller Williams real estate celebrate your home team helped us evaluate our home list our home and sell our home in a week for a lot more than we thought so I would highly recommend them as you’ll be in good hands if you choose them to list your home and find your forever home. Thank you Amanda and Andrew- Jamie R.
- davispat78Donna went above and beyond in selling our home. It was a very complicated process and she remained in constant contact and used her amazing resources and contacts to make it happen. She made a painful experience painless. We cannot thank her and her team enough! I would recommend her in a heart beat!! Wonderful experience!!
- 1207334646When we were buying our first house, we had horrible experience with our previous agent. So this time when we were looking for investment property, we were very cautious with real estate agents who we wanted to deal with. Luckily we found Andrew and Li, which made the process much easier than we had been anticipating. Any questions we had were answered quickly and efficiently. We both are very happy with our first investment and couldn’t have been more pleased with the service. We thank both of you for the time and effort you spent with us, making our experience as easy as it was! We also have them to list our rental property. We definitely recommend Andrew and Li to everyone and would not hesitate to use again ourselves!
- user442526622After a year of failing at searching for our first home to purchase we came across Andrew. Andrew was quick to respond no matter what time or day or how small or crazy our questions or needs were, Andrew jumped in fast and helped us get the ball rolling the way it should have been, after a very short time we were able to find a home even going through the crazy times of 2020 and then through the pandemic he was able to quickly get our negotiations done and get us into our first home. We are so profoundly indebted to Andrew for all his hard work and help. When it comes time to sell our home and move onto the next chapter he will be the agent we go to! We highly recommend Andrew as he was able to make everything happen and smoothly with way less stress. And we are happy to say we gained an awesome realtor and best of all a great friend.
- Kristi DemmersDonna exceeded all expectations of service! She was friendly, approachable and easily reached with any inquiry we had. She provided us with great contact points that helped move the purchase along quickly and smoothly - even during a pandemic! Thank you, Donna, for spending all your time and energy helping us find our family's dream home that has everything we were looking for - we couldn't have done it without you! You are TRULY the best!!!!
- maheshnuwan2003We can't speak highly enough of our experience with Andrew Chrzanowski. We were first-time homebuyers with very little knowledge about how to find the right place. He is honest and hands-on (he even crawled into creepy attics to check insulation for us!), and he really helped to take the pressure off of us. He was immediately responsive to our questions to help us in making a decision. Andrew was there for US! We would, and will, recommend Andrew to anyone in the market to purchase a home.
- themariebaronWe interacted directly with Mike Ambrozy from Amanda Eckart's team, which altogether provided photography, staging, marketing, advertising, and market expertise for our family's rental property. We accepted an offer over the asking price, and in fact had multiple offers very soon after listing the house. I highly recommend that you contact Mike and Amanda to sell your home!
- rngbubbies97Amanda listed our home. She and her office were phenomenal. The listing pictures clearly showed the beauty of the house, she did a great job with that. Showing the house couldn’t have been easier with scheduled appointments that met our needs. She listened to all of our concerns regarding selling our house. Amanda made this process easy at time when things couldn’t have been trickier ( COVID-19) Highly recommend Amanda and her office - Very Professional all around.
- user3293801Amanda helped us with the sale of a co-op and the purchase of a house earlier this year. She did a fantastic job and brought a ton of value to the table. We plan to use Amanda and the CYH team for all of our future real estate transactions and recommend them wholeheartedly.
On the sale side, Amanda came with a great strategy for bringing the unit to market. We felt she and her team did a fantastic job presenting the unit, so we were able to get multiple offers and we were able to choose the one that fit our timeline and the price we were happy with.
On the purchase side, Amanda did a great job getting us to refine what we were looking for, which helped us narrow in on the home that was a good fit for us, at a price we were happy with.
We entered contract on both transactions almost immediately before the COVID-19 shutdown began. Amanda was a great help interfacing with the bank, the lawyers, the other parties, the co-op board, etc. to help the two deals continue to move along.
Through the entire process, Amanda was a consummate professional. She was very generous with her time, she was always very quick to respond, and she was always on top of everything we asked for. Lastly, throughout everything, she went above and beyond in making my wife and I feel like valued customers, even bringing us dinner on our first night in the new house (with everything in boxes and my wife 9 months pregnant, this was very appreciated!). - timthenewguyAndrew made buying my first home extremely easy. He is very flexible when it comes to seeing properties and methods of communication. Will be using him and his team for my next property for sure!
- zuser20191003110434263Andrew was so helpful throughout the whole process. He was always available Nd walked me thru each and every step. The team he recommended were wonderful as well he was full of knowledge and will absolutely recommend him to anyone I know.

- zuser20160912155300679Amanda was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable in facilitating my family’s relocation to Long Island from San Francisco. I had a tight schedule flying in for the weekend to view homes and she made the most of it, making herself available and ready to answer any questions, regardless of the time of day or night. She took the time to understand what I was looking for and provided great pointers to me throughout the process. She was quick to respond (even when she was on vacation!) and was very efficient in setting up showings, following up with seller agents, etc.

She is absolutely trustworthy and always gives us her honest and truthful opinion of the houses. She is also very accommodating to all our needs and requests. - MattCoffey9Amanda Eckart is hands down the best agent in town! Her pricing was spot on and our house sold fast. She is very personable and responsive. If you want to buy or sell your home, we highly recommend Amanda!
- dmb623Amanda and her team were extremely personable and knowledgeable. She kept us apprised of the market conditions, was readily available to answer questions, and always kept us in informed. She provided insight in preparing the house for viewing and added their personal ouch to stage the house. We felt she maximized our sale price based on the market conditions at that time. She also recommend a local attorney who provided impeccable service all the way through final closing. We highly recommend Amanda and Celebrate Your Home Team.
- user5394955Amanda is a wonderful real estate professional. She knows the area very well, pays attention to details and makes sure that the clients are satisfied with the results. We were very happy with her help and diligence.

We highly recommend working with her and her team. Thank you for all you did for us. We have no doubt we will be working together again!"
- donniesheehan3Donna McKeown became a member of our family during the house hunting process. Text, call, or email, Donna, was there with positive energy. Donna provided my wife and me with comfort and reassurance during a stressful time. We spent several weekends with Donna hunting and almost gave up until next year. Then while we were away, she sent us a message with what has become our dream home and location. The day we return, we schedule a meeting to see our house, were the first ones to see it and put in the offer right away. Donna assisted us in having everything ready beforehand so we could make a firm offer. Not only did Donna help us endlessly but her entire team helped from hunting to closing. Donna, you are amazing! Please utilize Donna's talents when looking for a home.
- hwwalker8Michael and the whole team at Keller Williams Points North were awesome. They went above and beyond to sell our home. - ilonapepeDonna was amazing! She knew the “pulse” of Portjefferson unlike other realtors we conferred with. She understood what we are looking for and did not persuade or influence us other than sticking with what we wanted. An excellent experience! We love our house.
- Olga KomargodskiIt was a great experience working with Amanda. The main thing she is absolutely trustworthy. We felt completely in great hands with her all along this ling process. She is very knowledgeable, patient to answer any question possible. Would absolutely recommend Amanda and her team!
- farzanyDonna is an excellent realtor. She was very patient as we struggled to figure out our priorities in homes. She showed us homes for months. She never pushed us to particular homes and truly wanted the best for us. She was very each to reach. She has a pleasant demeanor. She had good contacts.
- Port Jeff100% recommend Amanda and her team. They sold my home after one open house and above the asking the price. I couldn't be happier with my experience. It was a smooth experience every step of the way. Amanda is a total expert and professional in every way. Amanda goes above and beyond, and she is such a pleasure to work with. She is extremely knowledgeable, detail-oriented, responsive, enthusiastic, supportive... every quality you would want in an agent. Amanda is truly outstanding!
- kerripotter13Amanda helped to find us our dream house. We are first time home-buyers so the process was entirely new to us. She helped us every step of the way and was able to negotiate aggressively for us. When our first house didn't work out, we got an offer accepted on our dream house the same day! It was totally meant to be, and we are so grateful to have chosen Amanda to represent us!
- user6132968We interviewed a few realtors before picking Amanda, and she was definitely the right choice. We sold a small house, but I felt like she gave us her full attention and best work. She did a great job helping to stage our home, her photographer took great photos, her advertising materials were the highest quality. She understood our priorities and helped us sell quickly so we could move cross country. I would definitely recommend her to my friends and family looking to sell a home.
- themariebaronMike helped us rent our family rental home by bringing qualified renters. He is friendly and knowledgable and the transaction was smooth and very pleasant. Highly recommended!
- stephfriend68I cant say enough about my experience with Donna as a seller and a buyer. I needed to sell my home quickly. Donna and her team worked seamlessly every step of the way. From determining an accurate sale price, to getting the right amount of exposure, to ultimately the right customer. The photos taken (which I never realized how important they were until I started shopping) were absolutely beautiful and made all the difference in the number of showings I had. Donna took care of every detail, and it was a truly stress free experience for me.
As a buyer, I wouldn't be moving into my dream home without her. She has an amazing way of communicating with even the most difficult personalities. I trust her completely. She was able to negotiate in my best interest, despite the fact that in this situation it was clearly not in hers. That says it all right there. I highly recommend Donna for all of your Real Estate needs. Thank you Donna McKeown!! - mvano5050Amanda did an fantastic job in selling my home. This sale was not the easiest transaction to accomplish. She was professional through every up and down during the process. I would recommend Amanda and her team to anyone looking to buy or sell in the Port Jefferson area.
- GillianStewartAmanda is very proactive and is a good listener. She made the process easy and pleasant. She was pragmatic and reasonable. Her photographer took great pictures and she immediately listed the house everywhere online. I would highly recommend her to anyone selling a home (or buying a home) in Suffolk County.
- lrichm26Our experience with Donna McKeown was very positive. We reached out to Donna's real estate office about a year and a half before we were planning to do a long-distance move to LI, and Donna took the time to speak with us at the beginning of our search and a few times throughout to check in to see where we were. She sent us local listings for over a year, which was helpful in getting a feel for the market from afar. Once we settled on a weekend to come out and do the home search in earnest, Donna was able to set up appointments for us to see a lot of properties in a short period of time, especially given that there wasn't a ton of inventory. Once we saw something we liked, she was able to guide us through making an offer quickly and then made follow up negotiations as painless as possible. Donna even helped us to get the inspection scheduled the same day as our offer was accepted so that we'd be able to be at the inspection in person! We were very pleased with the whole process and very impressed with Donna's skill in helping us navigate an unfamiliar market and her responsiveness to our many questions and concerns throughout the process.
- user121116The best! It was a pleasure working with Michael to find our dream home. We did a long distance move and depended on Mike to do a lot of the leg work for us. He was readily available and seemed as anxious for us to find not just a house but the right house. We were very pleased with Michael’s professional and caring service. Highly recommend.
- swtgurl704My husband and I had such a wonderful experience working with Michael. From the first time we talked to him on the phone, he was courteous, professional, respectful, and personable. Michael was always readily available to answer any questions we had and was transparent throughout the entire process. Thanks to Michael, the process of purchasing our home was smooth and effortless. We highly recommend Michael if you are looking to purchase a home. He’s awesome!
- 5andsiniAmanda, Donna and the whole team were amazing to work with. They were there for us every step of the way and made the whole process of buying and selling a house as comfortable as it could be. Every bit of advice they gave was helpful and valuable. They continue to be supportive months later. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone.
- jessicaciofrone9Amanda Eckart helped my husband and I purchase our first home several years ago. It was no easy conquest when we had issues with the home right before closing. We agreed it was worth waiting for and it was comforting to have Amanda on our side. She was like having a friend looking out for you and asking questions that you don't think of under stress. 10 crazy months later my husband and I finally closed. What a great investment that was! So only 2 years later when we wanted to move again it was no question we would ask Amanda and the Celebrate Your Home Team to help us. Our home popped up on the internet and 15 minutes after it was listed I reached out to Amanda and she had us in the very next day to see it. I knew we were meant to be there but what was even better is Amanda knew too. I think it makes a difference when your realtor gets to know who you are and knows whats important to you. This team really cares and they are professional and they get the job done. Not only will they give you their best advice, but they will listen to what's important to you. We are so happy with our home and our location. I highly recommend The Celebrate your Home Team and Amanda Eckart. You will have a personal experience and you will have the guidance you need to make a great purchase! Thank you so much for all of your help Amanda!
- shandley37Throughout the process of the selling of our home and the buying of a new one (both in our lovely and beloved Port Jefferson Village), Amanda Eckart was a constant source of amazing support and guidance. Her expertise, enthusiasm, and knowledge helped us in every aspect of our negotiations and enabled us to feel secure in all of our home selling and home buying decisions. As we write this in our new home overlooking the harbor, we reflect on how we could not have asked for a better person to help us through this daunting process. We recommend Amanda with the highest regard!
Shannon Handley and John Grossman - Kathy SampognaAmanda is very professional and displays great integrity. Her knowledge about the local area and involvement in the community are a real asset. She takes the time to connect with perspective buyers and share relevant information with them. We were very pleased with Amanda's service and recommend her whether you are selling your home or looking for someone to represent you in purchasing a new home.
- Mike BellafioreWent above and beyond for our family, which is very important. There are always things that are not working out in a sale and you need a problem-solver. Amanda was for our family. There were problems she solved that were outside our her job description. Never complained. Just solved the issues.
We sold our house quickly. Her feedback on pricing was significant to the sale. She identified the right buyer early.
We are very happy we choose Amanda to shepherd the sale of our family home. - sanford schram5We are most appreciative of Mike's expertise and professionalism in helping us find a new home. He knows the local market, the pricing and the contacts for inspections and approvals. He is very responsive to requests via the phone, text and email. His availability is impressive. He's a really nice person as well. He knows how to keep us upbeat and not stress out. He is our lifeline.
- kewmom4I decided to move back to LI after spending a wonderful seven years in the South. I got in contact with Donna McKeown and told her of my plans and what I was looking for in a home - a senior community, a detached condo, etc. Donna spoke with me for quite a while so she could understand my needs and then began sending me emails of available homes. The process took a while because I was selling my home in the South. When I was ready, I flew to LI and met Donna and she had several homes to look at. Donna is warm and friendly and made the process painless. After selecting a possible home, Donna put me in touch with a real estate attorney, as well as being in touch with my agent in the south. Donna became a friend! She found me a beautiful home, helped to make a list of things needed to be done before I purchased the home, walked me through the home on the day of the closing, and attended the closing with me. I would recommend Donna to anyone looking for a home on LI.
- kate aubrechtAmanda was both our buyers’ agent and sellers’ agent and ably guided us through both transactions. We appreciated her negotiating skills and spot-on advice.
- karenhtucciI had a wonderful experience working with Amanda. I would recommend her to everyone. She is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. She answered all of my questions and made the entire process smooth.
- s mills80Patty was a pleasure to deal with - she was always there when we needed her and went above and beyond to make this stressful process as seamless as possible.
She is an asset to any team she is on! - aradzikWe are very happy that we listed our house with Amanda. She was quick to answer calls and very helpful providing names of contractors we needed to get the house ready to sell. Highly recommend!
- sandra coloeWe could not have been happier with Amanda and her team as our agents! She was actually our buying agent 11 years ago and our selling agent this year... both experiences could not have been better. Our home sold in 5 days! Amanda is the consumate professional. Her expertise is unsurpassed. She is compassionate and really listened to our concerns and ideas. If I could give her six stars, I would! Thank you Amanda for helping to make our dreams come true!
- Karen MizellWe loved working with Patty. We were moving to NY from another state and she helped us with every aspect of this relocation. This includes sharing commute times so we would be able to better pinpoint a buying area. She goes above and beyond. Highly recommended.
- minhhoaiPatty is great and I highly recommend her. She represented us as a buyer, and she went with us to see 30 houses. She is respectful, responsive, punctual, and accommodating. She is relatively new in the business, but she is a fast learner and she already has lots of expertise. Sometimes, she did not have the experience to tell us right away if something needs a CO or not (e.g. A raised structrure in backyard), but she always followed up to confirm. I highly recommend Patty.
- szuber426We couldn't have asked for a better real estate agent. Patty was very attentive, diligent and proactive in helping us find and close on our ideal home. She's also extremely personable, just a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend her.
- zuser20140604090112307This was the easiest real estate transaction I ever had. Amanda was able to sell the house within a week for cash. Everything was extremely smooth. I practically did not spend any time on this. I am very much satisfied!

- GuigMichael was available 24/7, answering all questions. When we weren't available to meet with inspectors at the house, Michael was there! Pleasure to work with, very up to date with electronic signatures and not wasting time with doing things in person but in seconds over the computer. Spent time with us to show us multiple houses until we finally found our house!
- user95445077I would like to give a big thank you to Donna Davis McKeown who is an amazing realtor! Your patience and support over the past few months have been greatly appreciated . Never at any point did you let us settle for any house, even after viewing what seemed like 1,000 house only on 95 degree days! Without hesitation My wife and I would highly recommend YOU to any of or friends and family who may be in the process of selling or buying a home! Thank you again we sure will "Celebrate our home!"
- pegbushman4Amanda and Donna were a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. When working with them, you feel like you are buying a home, not just looking at houses. I would recommend them for anyone looking to sell or buy in the area!
- Dbe1128Amanda goes above and beyond with all your home selling and buying needs. She has sold two of our homes and found us our beautiful home In Port Jefferson. Amanda gets the job done quickly. Thank you Amanda
- rags525The Celebrate your Home Team are the best real estate team I have ever worked with. They are so focused on working on your behalf that it is as if you are their only customer. Professional and thorough, they have made the often stressful process of buying and selling a home a very positive experience!

- mnadrausAmanda was a huge help. We were first time home buyers and she was excellent from beginning to end. I would recommend her to any one I know that wants to work with an honest, friendly and genuine realtor who actually cares about her clients. She made us feel comfortable from the 1st time we met. She was always on time and answered all the questions we had. She walked us thru the process easily and changed our lives. We love the home we live in now and will forever think of her as the realtor who changed our lives by helping us buy our home where we now raise our family.
- user86639716Amanda's team was truly a pleasure throughout the entire process. We couldn't be happier with our new home and as first time buyers, their patience and knowledge really made it a positive experience!
- lrconaMy home was listed with Amanda during a tumultuous divorce. She was able to manage our emotional issues as well as the business of selling our home. We would not have been able to get through the process without her.
- user539284Amanda is amazing very knowledgeable and fimiliar with the area. Let her know what your wish list is and she'll find it. Will always show you what you are looking for not what the agency is looking to sell.
- Dawn KofflerAmanda and her team did what was needed in the recent sale of my home - 'listened' and 'responded' on all aspects throughout the process.
They were honest, efficient and knowledgeable from the first meeting, staging, listing, the open house, and eventual (well - very quick actually!) sale.
More than that, selling your home can be both emotional and stressful, and Amanda and the team 'listened to my heart during the process' and I can't thank them enough for that. - zavattoismI am highly recommending Donna McKeown who works with Amanda at Keller Williams Real Estate as I have never worked with Amanda. I'm not sure what "Process Expertise" means so I've left that blank as well as "Negotiation Skills" because I haven't yet put in an offer on any of the properties seen but, Donna has shown my husband and I several homes and we feel we can trust her. She also seems to understand what we want and shows us appropriate properties as a result as opposed to wasting our time and showing us "comparison" homes or using other hard core traditional real estate tactics.
- srh buckI'm so sorry I'm this late in doing this because Patti deserved an immediate standing ovation for her work with us! She was fantastic at every step of the process, immediately available when needed and willing to make all necessary calls and inquiries on a moments notice. Both my husband and I felt she was truly helpful beyond our expectations and then some checking in with us weeks after our closing.
Thanks again to you all!
Sarah Leanza - gjlaurieDonna McKeown was great handling the sale of my house. She is very friendly and a pleasure to deal with. If I ever need anything she is my goto salesperson. Donna goes well beyond what a salesperson should do. I am so glad I went with Keller Williams Realty Homes & Estates. Great job Donna and thank you for making a painful process an easy one.
- user759919131I loved working with Donna. She never pressured me to act quickly, looked at dozens of houses with me until I found one that met all my criteria. She's personable, knowledgeable, has excellent insight into the housing market in the area. I fully trust her opinion.
Thanks, Donna! I hope you can help me again in the future. - user9685444I'm a commercial real estate broker and chose to use Amanda Eckart for my first home purchase which just happened to be a short sale. I'm glad that I went with Amanda, in fact, I don't think that I would have been able to complete the purchase without her. Her insight and knowledge were invaluable throughout the process, and her follow through and communication with all the parties involved in this complex transaction was necessary to get the deal done. I have and will continue to recommend Amanda Eckhart.

She is the one who found the best home for us and negotiated a great deal. It was such a pleasure working with Donna and we give her the highest recommendation possible!
- user291589Amanda came highly recommended from a friend who is also a realtor. Her high praises were definitely justified! She is personable, patient and understanding of your needs . She also is a pro's pro. Amanda gives sound advice on homes even if it means walking away from a potential sale. I would not hesitate to use her as a realtor.

I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone buying or selling a home and I certainly will not hesitate to work with her in the future!
- entchevaGreat experience with Amanda! It was a fast and smooth sale of my house in a so-so market; it was also perfectly timed as I moved to another state.
Amanda is upbeat, positive, with a good sense of the local market.
She was absolutely the right agent for selling my house! - 1glennonAmanda Eckart is an exceptional real estate consultant and salesperson, creative and dedicated. We were on the market, a very tight market, for over one year. She never quit.
Her advice was excellent. She never stopped trying new approaches and never left us hanging. We saw her often and she respected and listened to our frustrations and ideas. All phone calls and text messages were answered promptly.
If our effort to sell had gone into a second year, we would have continued with Amanda. She is the best. - skipd1025At the time my mother-in-law was selling her home, I had some health issues and Amanda was extremely helpful to our family with her compassion and empathy during this difficult time for all of us. - jimmattimoreWe love AMANDA:
She is the best and kindest and smartest and only because of her did we sell our condo for enough $$$$$$$$$$$ to pay off two mortgages and come out with 30,000 for a down payment. She's beautiful, svelte, a former ballerina whom we love and love and love.
She is THE best broker we've ever met.
Jim and Pat Mattimore - Arlene KaufmanMy house had been on the market for quite some time and I was very discouraged when I asked Amanda for help. She willingly joined forces with the realtor on the scene and added her expertise. Amanda is very professional, intelligent and sensitive to the needs of her clients. She is always there when you need her, encouraging and supportive. I recommend her highly.
- BethI have been working alongside Amanda Eckart for the past 8 months and have enjoyed every minute. When it comes to helping her clients buy and sell their homes she is very professional, innovative, & intelligent. She works hard every day researching new ways, ideas, & strategies to make sure each home sale/purchase is a success. Amanda is also very knowledgeable about Port Jefferson and all the surrounding areas & is very involved in the local community. She is genuine, kind, & thoughtful and I have enjoyed learning from her each day!
- Thedupuisfamily6We worked with Amanda to sell our home in 2014. She was a true professional! Amanda worked with others to take professional pictures and create a top-notch home brochure. She held an open house about every two weeks. She consistently kept in touch with interested buyers and shared details with us as home owners. She was always responsive to our needs. Amanda is an excellent problem solver! When the sale of our home fell through just days before the close date, she reached out to others interested in buying our home. Within a few days, we were back in contract. We can't thank her enough for this because a potential big problem became a tiny blip and we were able to move on to purchase our dream home in another state. Amanda is patient, knowledgable, and very professional. I HIGHLY recommend her for all of your buying and selling needs!!
- laurastegAmanda is honest, reliable, and committed to her clients! In the past 10 years she has helped me work through the purchase of three homes, two of which were very difficult. She was accessible, available and ready to show me the homes I wanted to see ~ and had a list of properties she felt were a good match !
Thank you Amanda for taking the time to really understand what my dream home was..... and helped me find it !
The BEST !
Carol B. - laurenhaleAmanda Eckart is the best of the best! She is knowledgeable, friendly, responsible, and honest. She is very familiar with many neighborhoods in Suffolk County, Long Island, and has friends/connections throughout that she can draw upon when she wants to seek out additional information. She has helped me with issues before, during, and after the process of purchasing two homes. I email or text her with follow up questions frequently and always value her opinion. I appreciate that she worked with me and my husband for several years before we eventually purchased our dream home. She was never pushy at all. Instead she was extremely patient and eager to help our family find the perfect home for us!
- chefschully9Amanda Eckart is absolutely the professional you want on your team when buying and/or selling your home in Long Island. She not only has express first hand knowledge of the area, but she has a warm and nurturing way of presenting it. At no time did I ever feel rushed or pressured as I had with other agents in the area, instead, I felt like she presented the facts in a cool manner and pointed out the pros and cons of each which gave me all of the quality information needed to make a great decision.
Although I was not a first time homebuyer, I was a first time homebuyer in New York. Amanda took her time, introduced me to several others and allowed me to choose the other members of my team necessary to make a smooth purchase. Even when I brought on one of my team previously used, she was happy to work with them and integrated them into the "NY way of doing things". It was a breeze.
Amanda was always there for me over the phone and in person. She made me feel that I was her only client and always responded to phone calls, texts, and e-mails in a timely fashion, (even when I was not so kind with the time of day or day of the week) She truly understands the urgency that this process sometimes requires and always seemed to rise to the occasion.
Once I found a property to move into, that's when the real fun began. Amanda's knowledge of Comps in the area and the position of the local economy really gave us an upper hand in negotiating. She could whip out sales numbers and addresses off the top of her head and negotiated a much better deal than I ever could. (and she did this all with a smile and very cool demeanor).
Amanda likes to call herself "The Real Estate Nerd", but I think she should be called "The ......no, maybe that is the correct nickname for her because she definitely is a Master of Real Estate on Long Island. - wangchunying.bettyAmanda rocks! We are very pleased working with Amanda. She is familiar with local real estate market and is able to provide professional suggestion and information. She never pushed us to make a decision. She is very responsible and patient. We finally found our dream house with her help. Based on our experience, we will definitely recommend Amanda to anyone who is looking of a home.
- Maria PerezI had been trying to sell my house for more than five years. Then Amanda came along. Her knowledge of the local market is unparalleled, and she understood my needs completely. She helped me manage every step of the process, from beginning to end. I could not have sold my house without her -- and certainly not at the full asking price. If you're looking for an exceptional Realtor to help you sell your home (or to find your next one), Amanda is the one to call.
- DoergesvenAmanda helped us to find a rental investment property. I am a Chief Financial Officer and work with many consultants etc. on a daily basis. Amanda is very good in what she does. She knows the market perfectly, is very reliable, always on-time, has great advice and is never pushy. A true consultative sales approach and great experience.
- anthony freda 1Amanda is smart, hard working and a good judge of marketing strategies. She persevered to sell our home in a very difficult market. Also she is personable and easy to work with .
- bubbles411We are so thankful we could go through the buying and selling experience with a realtor we could trust. Uncertain how we would sell our home in an unsteady market, Amanda was there to offer sound advice and strategy. She uses different types of media to reach a broad spectrum of buyers. She is also very attentive to details and moving forward with selling process.
As for the buying... Amanda went above and beyond to help us find the right home for us. We had some very specific needs and she dug deep to help us find the right place. We found Amanda to be very knowledgeable and very patient as we survey tons of homes. She never imposed her opinion about a home unless you asked for her insight. I was glad to have her on my side as we negotiated with home owners and I appreciated not being pressured into any sale. We did have difficulties with our seller and I am very grateful for the emotional support, her attentiveness, and her willingness to intercede to move things forward.
Amanda has been in the realty business for many years and I can say she is a professional who will work with her clients. She has the right skills, she has the right experience, and she is dedicated to her work. We trust and recommend her to everyone. - dkd8969When deciding to search for a new home for me and my family I felt a bit overwhelmed and confused......Just didnt know where to begin. I was introduced to Amanda Eckart through a mutual friend and instantly felt a sense of comfort. Amanda listened to our needs, wants, limitations and financial concerns and reacted accordingly. She knew more about our town and local area than most poeple who have lived here 50 years......impressive!!!
She eagerly spent hours showing our home doing open houses and giving helpful hints and advice that I never would have thought of myself.
Amanda was so professional yet with that......I want to be her best friend approach.
She is not interested in selling someone a Box to live in but in helping people find a home that they can enjoy and grow with their family and to be part of a community.
Our experience with Amanda has been wonderful, I have reccommended her to many friends and collegues all with rave reveiws.
I hope you all find the same experience I did and can find that perfect home for you and your family....WE DID!!!! - doniwilsoAmanda is wonderful to work with! She has helped me with two properties and assisted me every step of the way. She is thorough and very responsive. Thank you Amanda!
- Long Island ProfAmanda found us the house we wanted in the precise neighborhood we requested. She started the process by taking us to several homes to get a sense of what we wanted. When we came close to submitting a bid on another home, she kept an eye on the market and took us to see our dream house before she would let us submit a bid on something that, in retrospect, wouldn not have been a good fit. She really listens and is not invested in pushing buyers to make a move. Throughout the process with a difficult seller, she made sure that we understood what was happening at evey step. I have recommended her to colleagus and friends. You can't do better!
- ahammockAmanda was very friendly, thorough and professional throughout the process of buying our home. We took a long time (years) looking at homes before we were ready to buy. She never pressured us, and always helped us think through the pros and cons of each particular house. When it came time to negotiate on the house we chose (and eventually bought), it was clear that Amanda had a lot of knowledge about how and what to negotiate -- this comes from her in-depth knowledge of the local market as well as national market trends. I was just so pleased having Amanda as our agent. She's great!
- santrapAmanda Eckart is the consummate professional! When I was looking for a home she was with me every step of the way. From investigating and showing me properties, to helping with inspections and various other incidentals, Amanda never wavered in her commitment to me, her client. Amanda continues to follow up and keep me in the loop as far as market trends are concerned which is very helpful in this economy. I have recommended Amanda to many of my friends and colleagues in the area and they have always been very grateful to me for doing so. She’s just wonderful!
- Campbell BeverlyAmanda went above and beyond to help sell our house in a market (2007-2008) that was very difficult. It took awhile, but the house sold. When we were having our yard sale before the move, Amanda showed up to help out. She helped us in so many ways... finding a mover, helping with financing and finding a storage unit. During the journey of preparing to sell, the open houses, the yard sales, and finding a new home... Amanda was there for us... and we have a new friend! Thank you, Amanda!!
- Carma KolmanAmanda is very knowledgeable and helpful. She spent a great deal of time with us. She sold our house and was also our agent for the house we purchased. She put a great deal of effort into serving as our agent, and got us terrific deals on both sides. Even after we closed, she was a constant source or information for carpenters, electricians, and other service providers. We are extremely satisfied with her service and would strongly recommend her to anyone.
- kristengrantAfter listing our house with other agents, we were so thankful to find Amanda. She is an amazing real estate agent. We HIGHLY recommend using her for buying or selling or both ! We sold our house with her and hired her as our "buyers agent" because she is THAT good. And with her help we found a house we love !! She's professional, she really knows her stuff !
